The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has various local investment-, foreign investment- and export initiatives. Agro-Processing Support Scheme (APSS)
The objective of the APSS is to stimulate investment by South African agro-processing / beneficiation (agri-business) enterprises;
Black Industrialist Programme (BIS)
The Black Industrialist Scheme (BIS) is a newly launched DTI grant program which forms part of the Black Industrialists Policy (BIP) of South Africa. This dedicated policy aims to unlock the industrial potential for Black Industrialists operating in the South African economy through deliberate, targeted and well-defined financial and non- financial interventions. Black Business Support Development Programme (BBSDP)
The BBSDP is aimed at black-owned small businesses to improve their competitiveness and sustainability.
Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Improvement Programme
The aim of the programme is to enable the South African clothing and textile industry to compete in the international- and domestic markets against foreign competitors.
Critical Infrastructure Programme (CIP)
The CIP subsidizes the development of infrastructure that is developed as a result of an investment that will not take place or operate optimally without the development of this infrastructure.
